FREE SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMS FEES 2018/2019...
more than 200 more to benefit
The Education Advisory Board of Cosmos Ndukwe Foundation has outlined program of action to facilitate the payment of Senior Secondary Certificate examinations fees for students across select public secondary schools in Bende Local Government of Abia State.
In a release signed by the Head of the Education Advisory Body, Prof. Onwukwe Alaezi, beneficiaries for the 2018/2019 school year will be selected based purely on their Continuous Assessment (CA) performance obtained from Principals of Schools or such other persons authorized by them and provided the student had not been indicted in any form of examination malpractice. The CA according to the body seems to be a more detailed approach in arriving at aggregate performance of these students. Prof Alaezi also said that though certain percentage will be allotted to students in private schools, preference will be given to students in public secondary schools and all physically challenged located in rural communities of Bende Local Government of Abia State who would likely account for 90% of the beneficiaries.
The program fashioned to help realize Goal #4 of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal which primary objectives are to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, affords no fewer than 200 students to register for their certificate exams. Started in 2011 academic session, beneficiaries have all their exams fees paid by the Foundation. So far, more than 1,400 candidates have benefited.
Payments for the 2018/2019 exam year will commence in the coming weeks.
